SCAM ALERT: Fake PCI Refund Calls

It has come to our attention that there is a scam offering PCI compliance refunds.

You may receive calls, letters, or emails claiming you were overcharged on your PCI account and offering refunds.

Merchants have reported that the people contacting you have personal and detailed information about them, such as:

• Your name and previous owners’ name(s)

• Personal and business phone numbers

• Date of last PCI compliance test

These approaches are very convincing because they contain significant info about you.
